Jurisdiction
30. Jurisdiction
Where any question or matter arises under this Part (other than section 29),
including any question as to the amount of any compensation payable or the
existence and extent of dependency, the County Court, the Magistrates' Court
and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal shall have under this Act
the same jurisdiction to hear and determine the question or matter as though
it were a question or matter that arose under the
Workers Compensation Act 1958 or the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (as the
case requires), and where the County Court, the Magistrates' Court or the
Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal exercises that jurisdiction such
of the provisions of those Acts as are applicable shall with the necessary
adaptations and modifications apply.
