Definitions

22. Definitions



(1) In this Part-

disaster area means that part or those parts of Victoria in which a state of
disaster is declared under section 23(1) to exist;

subordinate instrument has the same meaning as it has in the
Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984.

(2) For the purposes of this Part, a rail corporation within the meaning of
the Rail Corporations Act 1996 is deemed to be a government agency.

(3) Subsection (2) does not prevent a rail corporation deemed by that
subsection to be a government agency from receiving compensation under section
24 for the taking and use of its property.
