Application of this Act to Alcoa land
6. Application of this Act to Alcoa land
(1) For the purposes of this Act land in the leased area within the meaning of
the definition of leased area in the agreement set out in the Schedule to the
Mines (Aluminium Agreement) Act 1961 is deemed to be private land of which
Alcoa of Australia Proprietary Limited is the owner for any purpose other than
the determination and payment of royalty to the Crown.
(2) The Minister must not grant any work authority over any part of the leased
area referred to in subsection (1) without the consent of the Ministers
administering the Conservation, Forests and Lands Act 1987.
