Appointment of administrator

34. Appointment of administrator



(1) This section applies if the Commission considers that-

   (a)  the contravention by a licensee of the licence conditions threatens
        the security of electricity supply; and

   (b)  any other remedies to enforce compliance are not adequate.

(2) The Commission may appoint an administrator to the business in respect of
which the licence is issued.

(3) The administrator has such functions and powers in relation to the
business in respect of which the licence is issued as are specified in the
appointment of the administrator.

(4) Unless sooner revoked by the Commission, the appointment of an
administrator has effect for a period of 28 days but the appointment may be
renewed for a further period or periods, each period not exceeding 28 days.

(5) The terms and conditions (including remuneration) of appointment of the
administrator are to be decided by the Commission.
