Accountability

2.3.7. Accountability



(1) A school council is accountable to the Minister in respect of the
performance by the council of its functions in accordance with any Order made
by the Minister.

(2) The principal of a school is the executive officer of the school council
and must ensure that-

   (a)  adequate and appropriate advice is provided to the school council on
        educational and other matters;

   (b)  the decisions of the school council are implemented;

   (c)  adequate support and resources are provided for the conduct of school
        council meetings.

(3) The Secretary must ensure that an effective quality assurance regime is in
place over the financial and operational activities of school councils.
