2.2.17. Refusal of admission for safety reasons



(1) A person may be refused admission to or continued enrolment in a
Government school if, in the Minister's opinion, it is advisable to do so to
ensure the safety of the student or other students at the school.

(2) A child of compulsory school age who has been refused admission to or
continued enrolment in a Government school under subsection (1) must, in
accordance with any Order made by the Minister under subsection (3) be given
an opportunity to continue his or her education while he or she is of
compulsory school age.

(3) The Minister may make an Order specifying the means by which a student who
has been refused admission to or continued enrolment in a Government school is
to be given an opportunity to continue his or her education while of
compulsory school age.
