Functions of Director

9. Functions of Director

The functions of the Director under this Act are-

   (a)  to ensure that estate agents and agent's representatives comply with
        trust account procedures, professional conduct rules and other
        requirements of this Act and the regulations;

   (b)  to initiate inquiries before the Tribunal;

   (c)  to deal with prosecutions, inquiries and complaints under this Act;

   (d)  to provide assistance and support to the Council including, at the
        direction of the Council made with the approval of the Minister under
        section 6B, to do any act, matter or thing incidental or conducive to
        the performance by the Council of its functions;

   (e)  any other functions conferred on the Director by or under this Act.
