Annual licence fee and statement

23. Annual licence fee and statement



(1) A licensed estate agent must pay to the Authority the prescribed annual
licence fee on the anniversary of the date the agent was last granted a
licence under section 21.

(2) An annual licence fee may be paid at any time in the 6 weeks before it
falls due.

(3) The payment must be accompanied by a statement in respect of the year up
to the date that the payment is made that is in a form approved by the
Authority and that is signed-

   (a)  by the agent, if the agent is a natural person; or

   (b)  if the agent is a corporation, by the officer in effective control of
        the estate agency business of the corporation.

(4) The statement must contain any information, and be accompanied by any
documents, required by the Authority.
