Estate agents to be responsible for the acts of their representatives

13A. Estate agents to be responsible for the acts of their representatives

If an estate agent employs an agent's representative, the estate agent is
responsible, in tort and in contract, for any thing done or not done by the
agent's representative-

   (a)  within the scope of the agent's representative's authority; or

   (b)  for the benefit, or for the purported or intended benefit, of the
        estate agent or the estate agent's business.
