Retirement of candidate

71. Retirement of candidate



(1) A candidate for any election who is endorsed by a registered political
party may withdraw the candidate's nomination by lodging with the Commission a
notice of retirement at any time before noon on the day before the
final nomination day.

(2) A candidate for any election who is not endorsed by a registered political
party may withdraw the candidate's nomination by lodging with the election
manager a notice of retirement at any time before noon on the
final nomination day.
