De-registered political party is ineligible for registration

58. De-registered political party is ineligible for registration

A political party-

   (a)  that is de-registered under section 53, 54, 55 or 56; or

   (b)  that has a name that so nearly resembles the name of the de-registered
        political party that it is likely to be confused with, or mistaken
        for, that name-

is ineligible for registration until after the general election that first
occurs following the de-registration.
