Electoral rolls

29. Electoral rolls



(1) An electoral roll-

   (a)  must be prepared by the Commission as soon as practicable after the
        close of the roll in relation to an election; and

   (b)  must be prepared by the Commission when so required under any other
        Act; and

   (c)  may be in a form determined by the Commission.

(2) Despite section 23(2), a person who will not attain 18 years of age on
election day for an election is not entitled to be included on an electoral
roll prepared by the Commission in relation to the election.





(3) The Commission must not include on an electoral roll prepared under
subsection (1)(a)-

   (a)  the names of any electors whose claims for enrolment have been
        received by the Commission after the close of the roll; or

   (b)  any changes to particulars which have been received by the Commission
        after the close of the roll.
