Interference with political liberty

152. Interference with political liberty



(1) A person must not hinder or interfere with the free exercise or
performance, by any other person, of any political right or duty that is
relevant to an election under this Act.

(1A) A person who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an indictable
offence.

Penalty: Level 6 imprisonment (5 years maximum) or level 6 fine (600 penalty
units).

(2) A person must not, by violence or intimidation, influence the vote of a
person at an election.



(3) A person who contravenes subsection (2) is guilty of an indictable
offence.

Penalty: Level 6 imprisonment (5 years maximum) or level 6 fine (600 penalty
units).
