Incriminating answers
19C. Incriminating answers
(1) Despite anything to the contrary in this Division, a person required to
provide any information, or to produce any document or thing, to a commission,
or appearing before a commission to give evidence, is not excused from
providing the information, or producing the document or thing, or giving the
evidence, on the ground that the information, or document or thing, or
evidence, may tend to incriminate him or her.
(2) Any information provided, or document or thing produced, or evidence
given, by a person to a commission is not admissible against him or her in any
proceedings, whether civil or criminal, nor can it be made the ground of any
prosecution, action or suit against him or her other than in proceedings for
perjury or giving false information.
