Renewal of licences and permits
22. Renewal of licences and permits
(1) An application for renewal-
(a) may be made up to one month before the expiry of the current licence
or permit; and
(b) must be in writing and accompanied by the appropriate prescribed fee.
(2) Subject to this Act and the regulations, on application under subsection
(1), the Secretary, in his or her discretion, may renew a licence or permit.
(3) A renewed licence or permit lasts for 12 months from the date of expiry of
the previous licence or permit.
(4) Despite subsection (3), a licence or permit may be renewed for a shorter
period to enable that licence or permit and other licences or permits held by
that person to expire simultaneously.
