15D. Quorum and proceedings



(1) A quorum of the Committee consists of at least 5 members other than
co-opted members of the Committee.

(2) The chairperson must preside at a meeting of the Committee at which he or
she is present.

(3) If the chairperson is not present at a meeting, the members present may
elect a member to preside at the meeting.

(4) The person presiding at a meeting has a deliberative vote and, in the case
of an equality of votes, a second or casting vote.

(5) The Committee must meet at least 3 times each year at the places and times
appointed by the Minister or the chairperson.

(6) Subject to this Act, the Committee may regulate its own proceedings.
