Dangerous Goods Act 1985 - SECT 42
Evidence
42. Evidence
A document purporting to be signed by the Chief Executive of the Authority or
by any person authorized in writing by the Chief Executive in that behalf to
the effect that-
(a) any person is or was or is not or was not at any time stated in the
document-
(i) the holder of any exemption under the regulations; or
(ii) the holder of a licence or permit;
(b) where this Act requires any equipment, appliance or other item to be
approved by the Authority, the equipment, appliance or other item is
or was or is not or was not at any time stated in the document the
subject of an approval by the Authority; or
(c) where the regulations require any person or class of persons to be
registered with the Authority, any person is or was or is not or was
not at any time stated in the document so registered-
shall be evidence and, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, shall be
proof of the facts stated in it.
