14. Announcement on entry



(1) Immediately on entering a place under Division 3, an inspector must take
all reasonable steps to notify the occupier or apparent occupier of the place
of the entry, and to produce his or her identity card for inspection by that
person.

(2) However, an inspector is not required to comply with subsection (1) if-

   (a)  to do so would defeat the purpose for which the place was entered, or
        would cause unreasonable delay; or

   (b)  the person is already aware that the inspector has entered the place,
        or was notified in advance of when the inspector would enter.
