Builder must give copy of contract to building owner

25. Builder must give copy of contract to building owner

As soon as is practicable, but no later than 5 clear business days, after
entering into a domestic building contract, the builder must give the building
owner-

   (a)  in the case of a major domestic building contract, a readily legible
        signed copy of the contract;

   (b)  in the case of any other contract, a readily legible copy of any
        document that forms part of the contract.

Penalty: 20 penalty units. Default penalty: 1 penalty unit for each day.
