Contract for more than one sort of work must identify the domestic building work

12. Contract for more than one sort of work must identify the domestic
building work



(1) This section applies to a contract that entitles a builder to be paid
both-

   (a)  for carrying out domestic building work; and

   (b)  for carrying out other work or for any other reason.

(2) The builder must not enter into such a contract unless the contract
clearly identifies and distinguishes-

   (a)  the domestic building work from the other work or reason; and

   (b)  the amount of money the builder is to receive under the contract as a
        result of carrying out the domestic building work from the amount of
        money the builder is to receive under the contract as a result of
        carrying out the other work or for the other reason.

Penalty: 20 penalty units.
