DOMESTIC ANIMALS ACT 1994 - SECT 41C
Council must give notice of a menacing dog declaration to owner(1) If the Council has made a declaration that a dog is a menacing dog, it must serve written notice on the owner of the dog that a declaration has been made.
(2) The notice must—
(a) be served, either in person or by registered post, within 7 days after the making of the declaration; and
(b) give reasons for the making of the declaration.
