Authorised officers

43. Authorised officers



(1) The Authority may appoint a person to be an authorised officer for the
purposes of this Act.

(2) An authorised officer has such powers, functions and duties as are
conferred on an authorised officer by or under this Act or any other Act.

(3) The Authority must issue an identity card to each authorised officer.

(4) An identity card must contain a photograph of the authorised officer to
whom it is issued.

(5) An authorised officer must produce his or her identity card for
inspection-

   (a)  before exercising a power under this Part; and

   (b)  at any time during the exercise of a power under this Part, if asked
        to do so.

Penalty: 10 penalty units.
