Decision makers to have regard to principles

8. Decision makers to have regard to principles



(1) The Court must have regard to the principles set out in this Part (where
relevant) in making any decision or taking any action under this Act.

(2) The Secretary must have regard to the principles set out in this Part
(where relevant) in making any decision or taking any action under this Act or
in providing any service under this Act to children and families.

(3) A community service must have regard to the principles set out in this
Part (where relevant) in making any decision or taking any action in relation
to a child for whom it is providing, or is to provide, services under this
Act.

(4) This section does not apply in relation to any decision or action under
Chapter 5 or Chapter 7 (in relation to any matter under Chapter 5).
