Appointment of assessor

63. Appointment of assessor



(1) The Secretary may in writing authorise any person as an assessor to
conduct an independent review of the performance by a community service of its
powers and functions.





(2) An authorised assessor must report in writing to the Secretary within the
time required by the Secretary on the results of the review and any
recommendations arising from the review.

(3) An authorised assessor must not disclose to any person other than the
Secretary or the person in charge of or an employee of the community service,
whether directly or indirectly, any information acquired by the authorised
assessor in carrying out a review under this Division.

Penalty: 10 penalty units.
