Crimes (Criminal Trials) Act 1999 - SECT 29
Related trials
29. Related trials
A court is not prevented from being constituted at a trial by the same judge
who constituted the court at an earlier trial where the offences charged at
the later trial are founded on the same facts or form or are part of a series
of offences of the same or a similar character merely because the judge made a
ruling at the earlier trial or at a directions hearing held in connection with
the earlier trial on any question about the admissibility of evidence or other
question of law that, in his or her opinion, is likely to be contentious in
the later trial.
