Power of authorised officers to obtain information, documents and evidence

36A. Power of authorised officers to obtain information, documents and
evidence

For the purpose of monitoring whether this Act is being or has been complied
with, an authorised officer may, by notice in writing, require a person who is
or has been a licensee, a nominee or a staff member of a children's service or
a family day carer-

   (a)  to provide to the authorised officer, by writing signed by that person
        or, in the case of a body corporate, by a competent officer of the
        body corporate, within the time and in the manner specified in the
        notice, any relevant information that is specified in the notice; or

   (b)  to answer a question to the best of that person's knowledge,
        information or belief; or

   (c)  to produce to the authorised officer, in accordance with the notice,
        any relevant document referred to in the notice.
