Child/staff ratios

29A. Child/staff ratios



(1) A proprietor of a children's service must ensure that, whenever children
are being cared for or educated by the children's service, the number of staff
members caring for or educating the children is no less than the number
prescribed for this purpose.

Penalty: 120 penalty units.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to any children's service or any type of
children's service that the Secretary, by notice published in the Government
Gazette, declares to be a children's service or type of children's service to
which subsection (1) does not apply.
