Application in respect of child without sufficient means of support

16. Application in respect of child without sufficient means of support

Where any child is without sufficient means of support any parent or other
person who has the care and custody of any such child and who is prepared to
take all necessary legal proceedings that are available for obtaining
sufficient means of support for such child may make application in the
prescribed form to the Secretary that a periodic sum be paid to him or her
towards the maintenance of such child.
