Commencement

2. Commencement



(1) Parts 1 and 7 come into operation on the day on which this Act receives
the Royal Assent.

(2) The remaining provisions of this Act come into operation on the first day
after the end of the period of 12 months after the day on which the
Competition Policy Reform Act 1995 of the Commonwealth received the Royal
Assent, but, if the commencement of those provisions is postponed under
subsection (3), they commence on the day to which their commencement has been
postponed (or the later or latest of those days).

(3) The commencement of the provisions referred to in subsection (2) may be
postponed from time to time by order of the Governor in Council published in
the Government Gazette, but any such postponement cannot be effected after the
provisions have commenced.
