Summary offences

27. Summary offences

A charge for a summary offence is to be heard and determined summarily in
accordance with this Chapter or, if the case requires, Division 1 of Part 5.8.
Note The procedure set out in the Infringements Act 2006 may be used instead
of commencing a proceeding for certain offences. See section 99 of the
Magistrates' Court Act 1989.
