The long title for the Bill for this Act was "A Bill to enact ancillary provisions relating to the enactment by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of new corporations legislation and new ASIC legislation and for other purposes."
The Corporations (Ancillary Provisions) Act 2001 was assented to on 27 June 2001 and came into operation on 15 July 2001: section 2.
