Deputy Lord Mayor

22. Deputy Lord Mayor



(1) The Deputy Lord Mayor must act as the Lord Mayor during any period in
which-

   (a)  the office of the Lord Mayor is vacant; or

   (b)  the Lord Mayor is absent from the City of Melbourne or is otherwise
        unable to carry out the duties of office.

(2) In acting as Lord Mayor, the Deputy Lord Mayor may perform any function,
or exercise any power, conferred on the Lord Mayor.
