Amendment of voters' roll
11E. Amendment of voters' roll
(1) A voters' roll may be amended by the Chief Executive Officer if-
(a) there is any error in the preparation, printing or copying of the
voters' roll; or
(b) there is any misnomer or any inaccurate description of any person,
place or thing on the voters' roll; or
(c) the Chief Executive Officer is advised in writing by the Victorian
Electoral Commission that an objection under section 11C(6) relating
to a person enrolled under section 9A(1) or 9A(2) has been determined
by the Victorian Electoral Commission to be valid.
(2) If an amendment under subsection (1)(a) or (1)(b) relates to a person
enrolled under section 9A(1) or 9A(2), the Chief Executive Officer must obtain
the approval of the Victorian Electoral Commission.
(3) The amendment of the voters' roll under subsection (1) must be-
(a) certified by the Chief Executive Officer and the Returning Officer for
the election; or
(b) if a member of Council staff is the Returning Officer for the
election, certified by the Chief Executive Officer and the Victorian
Electoral Commission.
(4) The certification under subsection (3) must-
(a) be in writing;
(b) detail the amendments made;
(c) specify the reasons why the amendments were made.
