Delegations within Victoria Police

44. Delegations within Victoria Police

The chief officer of Victoria Police may delegate, by instrument-

   (a)  to a Deputy Commissioner or an Assistant Commissioner any of the chief
        officer's functions under this Act relating to the authorisation of
        controlled operations (including the variation and cancellation of
        authorities for controlled operations and notifications under section
        34(2));

   (b)  to a member of Victoria Police of the rank of commander, chief
        superintendent or superintendent any of the chief officer's functions
        under this Act relating to-

   (i)  the authorisation of local minor controlled operations (including the
        variation and cancellation of authorities for those operations);

   (ii) notifications under section 34(2).
