Determination of applications

13. Determination of applications

After considering an application for authority to conduct a controlled
operation, and any additional information furnished under section 12(5), the
chief officer-

   (a)  may authorise the operation by granting the authority, either
        unconditionally or subject to conditions; or

   (b)  may refuse the application.

Note In some circumstances, the chief officer may delegate functions under
this section-see Division 1 of Part 5.
