Informed consent

73C. Informed consent

For the purposes of this Part, a person is to be taken to have given informed
consent to a transfer or interim disposition only if he or she gives written
consent to the transfer or disposition (as the case requires) after-

   (a)  he or she has been given a clear explanation of the process involved
        in the transfer or disposition and the reasons for the transfer or
        disposition, containing sufficient information to enable him or her to
        make a balanced judgment; and

   (b)  any relevant questions asked by him or her have been answered and he
        or she has understood the answers.
