Protection of members etc.

72. Protection of members etc.



(1) A member or acting member of the Panel has, in the exercise of powers or
performance of functions or duties as a member or acting member, the same
protection and immunity as a judge of the Supreme Court.

(2) A legal practitioner or other person appearing before the Panel on behalf
of a party has the same protection and immunity as a legal practitioner has in
appearing for a party in proceedings in the Supreme Court.

(3) A person summoned to attend or appearing before the Panel as a witness has
the same protection and is, in addition to the penalties provided by this Act,
subject to the same liabilities, as a witness in proceedings in the Supreme
Court.
