PART 4 EFFECT OF AUTHORITY

Assumed identity may be acquired and used

19. Assumed identity may be acquired and used



(1) An authorised officer may acquire or use (or both) an assumed identity if
the acquisition or use (or both) are-

   (a)  in accordance with an authority; and

   (b)  in the course of duty.

(2) An authorised civilian may acquire or use (or both) an assumed identity if
the acquisition or use (or both) are in accordance with-

   (a)  an authority; and

   (b)  any direction by the person's supervisor under the authority.
