Grants and loans

21. Grants and loans



(1) The Council may upon the recommendation of the Committee and with the
approval of the Minister make a grant or loan from the Fund as provided in
section 14(2) or for the purpose of defraying wholly or in part the sale price
of land to be sold pursuant to section 24.

(2) Subject to subsection (3), a grant or loan may be made subject to such
conditions as are considered appropriate.

(3) A loan made by the Council shall-

   (a)  bear interest at the rate for the time being fixed by the Treasurer
        generally for the purposes of this section; or

   (b)  if the Treasurer so approves-

   (i)  bear interest at such rate as may be fixed by the Treasurer in respect
        of that loan; or

   (ii) not bear interest. _______________
