Local laws

16. Local laws



(1) The Council may upon the recommendation of the Committee make local laws
regulating controlling or prohibiting any activity in or in public places in
the vicinity of the precinct that is, in the opinion of the Council, likely to
adversely affect the use or enjoyment of the precinct.

(2) Any local law to be made pursuant to subsection (1) shall be made as if
the making thereof were authorized by Part 5 of the Local Government Act 1989.

(3) Any local law made pursuant to subsection (1) shall be deemed for all
purposes under the Local Government Act 1989 to be a local law made pursuant
to that Act.
