Police may use reasonable force to remove person

57AK. Police may use reasonable force to remove person



(1) A member of the police force, using no more force than is reasonably
necessary, may-

   (a)  prevent a person from entering or attempting to enter a Games
        management area contrary to a direction under section 56ZV(2), 56ZZA
        or 57AI;



   (b)  remove a person from a Games management area after the person has
        refused to comply with a direction under section 56ZV(2), 56ZZA or
        57AI;

   (c)  prevent a person from re-entering or attempting to re-enter a Games
        management area contrary to a direction under section 56ZV(2), 56ZZA
        or 57AI.

(2) Nothing in this section limits any powers of arrest that a member of the
police force has under any other law.

(3) Any action taken under this section does not prevent the institution of
proceedings in respect of an offence.
