Delegation by Secretary

28. Delegation by Secretary



(1) The Secretary may in writing delegate any of the powers conferred on the
Secretary under this Act or the regulations, other than this power of
delegation, to any of the following-

   (a)  a person or a class of persons employed under Part 3 of the
        Public Administration Act 2004; or

   (c)  a body corporate established under an Act for a public purpose.

(2) The Secretary, with the consent of the Minister, may in writing delegate
any of the powers conferred on the Secretary under sections 27 and 44 to any
other person or body or the holder of any office.

(3) The Minister's consent under subsection (2) may be in respect of a class
or classes of persons or bodies or offices.
