Appointment

5. Appointment



(1) Subject to subsection (2), the Governor in Council may appoint a person as
Commissioner for Law Enforcement Data Security.

(2) A person is not eligible for appointment as Commissioner for Law
Enforcement Data Security if the person is a member of the Parliament of
Victoria or of the Commonwealth or of another State or a Territory of the
Commonwealth.
