False or misleading statements

95. False or misleading statements



(1) A person must not give to an authorised officer information which is false
or misleading.

Penalty: 10 penalty units.

(2) In proceedings under subsection (1) it is a defence if the person charged
proves that the person believed on reasonable grounds that the information was
true or not misleading.
