Information to be given to the public

80. Information to be given to the public



(1) The Secretary must cause notice of the making of an agreement to be
published in the Government Gazette and in a newspaper circulating throughout
Victoria and to be displayed in a conspicuous place on the land to which the
agreement applies as soon as possible after the agreement is made.

(2) The Secretary may, with any assistance which the Secretary requires, enter
land to which an agreement applies for the purpose of causing a notice to be
displayed in accordance with subsection (1).

(3) A notice under subsection (1) must state where the agreement can be
inspected and must contain any other prescribed information.

(4) The Secretary must ensure that copies of an agreement are kept available
for inspection by the public free of charge at the Secretary's principal
office and at regional departmental offices which the Secretary considers
appropriate, during office hours.

(5) The Secretary must cause to be kept a register containing the prescribed
information about agreements.

(6) In this section agreement includes-

   (a)  an agreement varying or terminating a previous agreement; and

   (b)  an order varying or terminating an agreement.
