Secretary to be subject to control

7. Secretary to be subject to control



(1) In the carrying out of the powers, functions and duties conferred or
imposed on the Secretary by or under this or any other Act, the Secretary is
subject to the direction and control of the Minister.

(2) The Secretary must give the Minister such reports, documents and
information as may be required by Parliament pursuant to any Act, or pursuant
to any Order of either House of Parliament.





(3) The Secretary must, at intervals determined by the Minister, provide the
Minister with reports concerning all business carried on by the Secretary and
any further information which the Minister may require.

(4) This section does not apply to a power, function or duty of the person for
the time being constituting the body called "the Secretary to the Department
of Natural Resources and Environment ", being a power function or duty which
the person has in the capacity of Department Head.
