Election of officers of volunteer brigades

25. Election of officers of volunteer brigades



(1) Every volunteer brigade shall, except so far as the officers or any of
them have been appointed by the Authority, in the prescribed manner and for
the prescribed period elect a captain and such other officers of the number
and rank determined by the Authority for brigades of that classification and
every group of brigades shall in the prescribed manner and for the prescribed
period elect such group officers as are prescribed.

(2) No such election shall have any force or effect until approved by the
Authority.

(3) The Authority may at any time disqualify any such captain or other officer
from exercising any powers and authorities under this Act and thereupon such
captain or other officer or any person acting under or in accordance with the
direction given by such captain or other officer shall not have the powers and
privileges or the benefit of any immunity conferred by this Act.
