Child Employment Act 2003 - SECT 41

When may powers be exercised?

41. When may powers be exercised?



(1) A child employment officer may exercise powers under this Part only to the
extent that it is reasonably necessary to do so for the purpose of-

   (a)  investigating an application for a permit; or

   (b)  determining compliance with this Act or the regulations.





(2) In exercising powers under this Part, a child employment officer must-

   (a)  cause as little inconvenience as possible; and

   (b)  not remain on premises any longer than is reasonably necessary.
