Provisions that do not apply to employment in entertainment

28. Provisions that do not apply to employment in entertainment



(1) The following provisions of this Act do not apply to the employment of a
child in entertainment-

   (a)  section 21 (hours of work);

   (b)  section 22 (rest breaks).

Note There is also no minimum age for the employment of children in
entertainment-see section 10(2).

(2) Despite subsection (1), the Secretary may take into account any provision
referred to in that subsection in determining the conditions (if any) to be
imposed on a permit for the employment of a child in entertainment.
