When may a child be employed in a family business?

24. When may a child be employed in a family business?



(1) A child may be employed in or in relation to a family business without a
permit.





(2) Nothing in subsection (1) allows a child to be employed in prohibited
employment.

Note Also, the child can only be employed to perform light work and cannot be
employed during school hours-see sections 11 and 20.
